  • 1 - 16 Ounces (oz) package linguine pasta
  • 3 - Tablespoons (tbsp) olive oil
  • 2 - Cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.5 - Teaspoon (tsp) Italian seasoning
  • 0.25 - Teaspoon (tsp) dried thyme
  • 0.25 - Teaspoon (tsp) crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 - 28 Ounces (oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 - 6 Ounces (oz) can black olives, drained
  • 1 - 10 Ounces (oz) can whole baby clams
  • 1 - 6.5 Ounces (oz) can minced clams
  • 0.25 - Pound (lb) small salad shrimp
  • 0.25 - Pound (lb) scallops
  • 2.5 - Teaspoons (tsp) lemon zest, zested
  • 1 - Pinch salt, to taste
  • 1 - Pinch ground black pepper, to taste

Steps

  1. In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the linguini until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a heavy saucepan over medium heat, sauté the minced garlic in olive oil until the garlic softens.
  3. Add Italian seasoning, dried thyme, crushed red pepper flakes, crushed tomatoes, black olives, and the juice from both cans of clams to the saucepan. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Mix in the canned clams, shrimp, scallops, lemon zest, and salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for an additional 15 minutes or until the shrimp and clams are cooked through.
  5. Toss the cooked and drained linguine pasta with the seafood sauce. Serve warm.
