Ingredients
- 12 Large eggs
- 1 Whole jalapeño pepper, minced
- 1 Whole habanero pepper, minced
- 0.25 Cups (cup) mayonnaise
- 1 Teaspoon (tsp) yellow mustard
- 0.125 Teaspoon (tsp) paprika
- 0.5 Teaspoon (tsp) kosher salt
- 0.5 Teaspoon (tsp) black pepper, ground
- 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) apple cider vinegar
- 1 Teaspoon (tsp) sugar
- 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) fresh chives, minced
Steps
- Place the eggs in a single layer in a saucepan and cover with water by at least 1 inch. Bring the water to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, cover the saucepan and remove it from the heat. Let the eggs stand in the hot water for 15 minutes.
- Drain the hot water and cool the eggs under cold running water. Peel the eggs once they are cool enough to handle.
- Slice the eggs in half lengthwise and carefully remove the yolks, placing them in a mixing bowl. Arrange the egg whites on a serving platter.
- To the yolks, add the minced jalapeño, minced habanero, mayonnaise, yellow mustard, kosher salt, black pepper, apple cider vinegar, and sugar. Mash the mixture with a fork until smooth and creamy.
- Transfer the yolk mixture to a pastry bag fitted with a decorative tip. Pipe the filling into the egg white halves, creating a decorative swirl.
- Lightly sprinkle the filled eggs with paprika for a touch of color and flavor.
- Garnish with minced fresh chives for a burst of freshness and color.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve. Enjoy the fiery and creamy delight!
