Ingredients

  • 4 Slices cooked ham
  • 4 Slices sourdough bread
  • 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) cream cheese
  • 0.25 Cups drained crushed pineapple
  • 2 Slices provolone cheese
  • 2 Whole eggs, whisked
  • 0.5 Cups milk
  • 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) white sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon (tsp) butter
  • 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) vegetable oil

Steps

  1. Spread cream cheese on two slices of sourdough bread. Layer each with 2 slices of ham, 2 tablespoons of pineapple, and one slice of cheese. Top with another slice of bread and cut off the crusts.
  2. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and sugar. Briefly dip both sides of the sandwiches in the egg mixture.
  3. Heat butter and oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwiches in the skillet and fry each side until golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 5 minutes per side.
  4. Drain the sandwiches on paper towels and let cool for 3 minutes before serving. Enjoy your sweet and savory creation!
