  • 0.33 Cups (cup) margarine, softened
  • 0.67 Cups (cup) white sugar
  • 0.5 Cups (cup) brown sugar, packed
  • 2 Whole eggs
  • 1 Cup peanut butter
  • 0.5 Teaspoons (tsp) vanilla extract
  • 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) water
  • 0.75 Cups (cup) whole wheat flour
  • 0.25 Cups (cup) all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 Teaspoons (tsp) salt
  • 1 Teaspoon (tsp) baking powder
  • 0.25 Teaspoons (tsp) baking soda

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees Celsius). Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened margarine and sugars until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, beating until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  3. Stir in the peanut butter, vanilla extract, and water until well mixed.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Gradually stir this dry mixture into the peanut butter mixture until well blended.
  5. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the top springs back when touched.
  7. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before cutting them into 16 squares. Enjoy!
