  1. 1

Set a collection container under the juicer’s exit spout and turn the juicer on. Feed the tomatoes into the chute, insert the food pusher, and gently guide the tomatoes down. Repeat the process with the celery, onion, green pepper, beets, carrots, and garlic.

  2. 2

Pour the juice into a large pot. Stir in the sugar, black pepper, horseradish, lemon juice, and enough water to make a thin consistency, then season with Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a boil and cook for 20 minutes.

  3. 3

Ladle the juice into hot, sterilized 1-quart jars, filling to within 3/4 inch of the top. Stir 1 tablespoon sugar and 1 teaspoon salt into each jar. Run a clean knife or thin spatula around the inside of each jar to release any air bubbles. Wipe the rims with a damp paper towel to remove any residue. Place the lids on and screw the rings on tightly.

  4. 4

Set a rack in the bottom of a large stockpot and fill it halfway with water. Bring the water to a boil, then lower the jars into the boiling water, spacing them 2 inches apart, using a holder. Add more boiling water to cover the jars by at least 1 inch. Return to a rolling boil, cover, and process for 40 minutes.

  5. 5

Lift the jars out of the stockpot and set them on a cloth-covered or wooden surface, spaced several inches apart, to rest for 12 to 24 hours. Press the center of each lid to confirm it does not move up or down. Remove the rings for storage and keep the jars in a cool, dark place.

How easyChef Pro scores recipes and products

easyChef Pro analyzes up to 41 nutrients using data sourced from USDA and other verified food databases. Its scoring method uses the nutrients relevant to nutrition quality, calorie density, processing level, and your selected health goal. Recipes and food products get a health score from 0 to 100, calculated using consistent rules instead of being estimated by AI. The same nutrition data, serving size and health goal will produce the same result.

The calculation evaluates nutrients, calorie density, processing level, and how well the food supports your selected health goal. Protein, fiber, vitamins, minerals and other beneficial nutrients can strengthen the score. High amounts of sodium, saturated fat, added sugar and other nutrients may lower it.

Your health goal also matters. easyChef Pro evaluates recipes and products across six health areas and adjusts their importance for your selected goal. This means the same food may be a better fit for one health goal than another.

For recipes, changing an ingredient, quantity or serving size changes the nutrition and may change the score. Remix the recipe in easyChef Pro to calculate fresh nutrition and scores for the version you actually make. Product scores are based on the nutrition and serving information associated with that specific product.
