Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Line the bottom of a 10x15-inch jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
- 2
Separate the eggs and set the yolks aside. In a glass, metal, or ceramic bowl, whip the egg whites with the salt until foamy. Gradually add the sugar, continuing to beat until soft peaks form. Sprinkle the baking powder over the top and beat to mix it in.
- 3
Add the egg yolks one at a time, beating after each addition. Beat in the vanilla extract. Sift 1/2 cup cake flour over the egg mixture and gently fold to combine. Repeat this two more times with the remaining flour. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
- 4
Bake in the preheated oven until the cake springs back when lightly pressed with a finger, 10 to 13 minutes.
- 5
Lay a kitchen towel on the counter and dust it generously with powdered sugar. Remove the cake from the oven and immediately invert it onto the towel.
- 6
Peel off the parchment paper and trim away any crusty edges of the cake to help prevent cracking when rolling. Spread the jelly over the surface. Starting from a short side, roll the cake up, using the towel to guide you. Place the cake roll seam-side down on a serving plate. Let it cool completely before slicing and serving, about 45 minutes.

How easyChef Pro scores recipes and products
easyChef Pro analyzes up to 41 nutrients using data sourced from USDA and other verified food databases. Its scoring method uses the nutrients relevant to nutrition quality, calorie density, processing level, and your selected health goal. Recipes and food products get a health score from 0 to 100, calculated using consistent rules instead of being estimated by AI. The same nutrition data, serving size and health goal will produce the same result.
The calculation evaluates nutrients, calorie density, processing level, and how well the food supports your selected health goal. Protein, fiber, vitamins, minerals and other beneficial nutrients can strengthen the score. High amounts of sodium, saturated fat, added sugar and other nutrients may lower it.
Your health goal also matters. easyChef Pro evaluates recipes and products across six health areas and adjusts their importance for your selected goal. This means the same food may be a better fit for one health goal than another.
For recipes, changing an ingredient, quantity or serving size changes the nutrition and may change the score. Remix the recipe in easyChef Pro to calculate fresh nutrition and scores for the version you actually make. Product scores are based on the nutrition and serving information associated with that specific product.
