Crush the strawberries in a large bowl with a potato masher. (Or pulse the strawberries in a food processor until finely chopped but not pureed.) Drain the strawberries through a fine-mesh strainer; save the juice for another use. Measure 2 cups of crushed strawberries into a large bowl (set aside any extra for another use); add the sugar and stir until evenly mixed. Let stand at room temperature for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 3
Meanwhile, combine the pectin and water in a small saucepan, stirring until blended. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat; boil, stirring constantly, until a thick paste forms and the pectin is fully dissolved, about 2 minutes.
- 4
Stir the boiling pectin-water mixture into the strawberry mixture in the large bowl; stir constantly for 3 minutes. To test if the jam is set, coat the back of a spoon with jam and run a finger through it. If the line stays separated, it is properly set. If it runs back together, it is not set; continue stirring until set, 3 more minutes. Pour into 2 sterilized pint-size jars or other storage containers, leaving a 1/2-inch space at the top for expansion. Seal the containers and leave at room temperature for 24 hours.

How easyChef Pro scores recipes and products
easyChef Pro analyzes up to 41 nutrients using data sourced from USDA and other verified food databases. Its scoring method uses the nutrients relevant to nutrition quality, calorie density, processing level, and your selected health goal. Recipes and food products get a health score from 0 to 100, calculated using consistent rules instead of being estimated by AI. The same nutrition data, serving size and health goal will produce the same result.
The calculation evaluates nutrients, calorie density, processing level, and how well the food supports your selected health goal. Protein, fiber, vitamins, minerals and other beneficial nutrients can strengthen the score. High amounts of sodium, saturated fat, added sugar and other nutrients may lower it.
Your health goal also matters. easyChef Pro evaluates recipes and products across six health areas and adjusts their importance for your selected goal. This means the same food may be a better fit for one health goal than another.
For recipes, changing an ingredient, quantity or serving size changes the nutrition and may change the score. Remix the recipe in easyChef Pro to calculate fresh nutrition and scores for the version you actually make. Product scores are based on the nutrition and serving information associated with that specific product.
