Chicken Nepiev

Chicken Nepiev brings together garlicky richness and herb-forward seasoning in rolled, juicy chicken breasts. A thin layer of garlic cream cheese melts inside while a light crumb coating browns in the pan before finishing in the oven, yielding tender meat with a savory, aromatic bite. Ideal for a weeknight dinner that feels a bit special without fuss.

  1. 1

Mix Italian seasoning, onion powder, and garlic powder in a small bowl; sprinkle the mixture over both sides of each chicken breast. Place 1 tablespoon cream cheese in the center of each breast; spread it slightly. Tuck in the sides; roll up tightly. Secure with toothpicks.

  2. 2

Put bread crumbs on a plate; roll the chicken rolls in the bread crumbs to coat. Move to a plate, cover, and freeze for about 30 minutes.

  3. 3

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

  4. 4

Melt butter with oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the chicken rolls on all sides, about 5 minutes. Move the rolls to a baking dish.

  5. 5

Bake in the preheated oven until the chicken is no longer pink and the juices run clear, about 20 minutes. Spoon the drippings over the rolls before serving.
