  1. 1

Place the shrimp in a zip-top bag set in a shallow dish. Add the oil, 1/2 teaspoon orange zest, the orange juice, the lime zest, the lime juice, and the garlic. Seal the bag and turn to coat. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes and up to 1 hour.

  2. 2

Preheat an outdoor grill to medium heat (350 degrees F to 375 degrees F/175 degrees C to 190 degrees C). Remove the shrimp from the marinade and discard the marinade. Thread 6 to 7 shrimp onto each of 4 skewers. Season with salt and pepper.

  3. 3

Oil the grill grates. Arrange the skewers; the orange wedges, cut sides down; and the thyme on the grill. Grill the thyme just until lightly charred, about 15 seconds. Cover the grill. Grill the skewers and orange wedges, turning halfway through, until the shrimp are opaque and the orange wedges are lightly charred, 6 to 8 minutes.

  4. 4

Strip the thyme leaves from the sprigs and coarsely chop them. Stir 1 teaspoon chopped thyme and the remaining 1/2 teaspoon orange zest into the butter.

  5. 5

Spread the citrus-thyme butter over the shrimp and serve with the orange wedges. Garnish with the remaining thyme.

How easyChef Pro scores recipes and products

easyChef Pro analyzes up to 41 nutrients using data sourced from USDA and other verified food databases. Its scoring method uses the nutrients relevant to nutrition quality, calorie density, processing level, and your selected health goal. Recipes and food products get a health score from 0 to 100, calculated using consistent rules instead of being estimated by AI. The same nutrition data, serving size and health goal will produce the same result.

The calculation evaluates nutrients, calorie density, processing level, and how well the food supports your selected health goal. Protein, fiber, vitamins, minerals and other beneficial nutrients can strengthen the score. High amounts of sodium, saturated fat, added sugar and other nutrients may lower it.

Your health goal also matters. easyChef Pro evaluates recipes and products across six health areas and adjusts their importance for your selected goal. This means the same food may be a better fit for one health goal than another.

For recipes, changing an ingredient, quantity or serving size changes the nutrition and may change the score. Remix the recipe in easyChef Pro to calculate fresh nutrition and scores for the version you actually make. Product scores are based on the nutrition and serving information associated with that specific product.
