Crispy Homemade Potato Fries
Crispy Homemade Potato Fries deliver a golden crunch with tender, fluffy centers and a clean potato flavor enhanced by a light touch of olive oil and salt. Soaking and drying the potatoes before air-frying helps achieve that shattering exterior. Serve these fries as a weeknight side, game-day snack, or alongside burgers when you want something freshly made and irresistibly crisp.

- 1
Peel the potatoes and slice them into long French fries about 8 mm thick. (A French fry cutter can help with this.)
- 2
Soak the fries in water for at least 30 minutes. Drain them well, then pat them dry with kitchen paper.
- 3
Preheat the Philips Airfryer to 320 degrees F (160 degrees C).
- 4
Place the fries in a large bowl, drizzle with the oil, and toss to coat. Transfer them to the Philips Airfryer basket, slide the basket into the Philips Airfryer, and set the timer for 18 minutes.
- 5
When the timer goes off, slide out the basket and shake the fries. Increase the temperature to 180C and set the timer for another 12 minutes.
- 6
After 6 minutes, slide out the basket and shake the fries again.
- 7
Cook until the timer rings and the fries are golden brown. Sprinkle with salt and serve on a platter.
