  1. 1

Gather all the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C) and coat a 13x9-inch baking dish with cooking spray; set aside.

  2. 2

Heat oil in a large, deep skillet over medium heat. Add the potatoes, carrots, and onion; cook, stirring often, until the carrots and potatoes just begin to soften, 6 to 8 minutes.

  3. 3

Add the broth and water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer, stirring occasionally and adjusting the heat as needed, until the vegetables are fork-tender, 8 to 10 minutes. Stir in the curry mix until dissolved and the mixture thickens, 1 to 2 minutes.

  4. 4

Remove from heat. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish; stir in the chicken until evenly combined. Wipe the rim of the baking dish clean.

  5. 5

Unroll the crescent dough (pinch the perforations together to seal, if necessary). Lay the dough over the chicken mixture and gently stretch it to the edges of the baking dish. Press the outer edges of the dough into the edges of the dish, and use a fork’s tines to crimp it into the sides of the dish. Sprinkle the top with sesame seeds, if using, and cut 4 small slits in the top of the dough.

  6. 6

Bake in the preheated oven until the pastry is golden brown and the filling is bubbling, 20 to 25 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving. Recipe developed by Nicole Hopper.

How easyChef Pro scores recipes and products

easyChef Pro analyzes up to 41 nutrients using data sourced from USDA and other verified food databases. Its scoring method uses the nutrients relevant to nutrition quality, calorie density, processing level, and your selected health goal. Recipes and food products get a health score from 0 to 100, calculated using consistent rules instead of being estimated by AI. The same nutrition data, serving size and health goal will produce the same result.

The calculation evaluates nutrients, calorie density, processing level, and how well the food supports your selected health goal. Protein, fiber, vitamins, minerals and other beneficial nutrients can strengthen the score. High amounts of sodium, saturated fat, added sugar and other nutrients may lower it.

Your health goal also matters. easyChef Pro evaluates recipes and products across six health areas and adjusts their importance for your selected goal. This means the same food may be a better fit for one health goal than another.

For recipes, changing an ingredient, quantity or serving size changes the nutrition and may change the score. Remix the recipe in easyChef Pro to calculate fresh nutrition and scores for the version you actually make. Product scores are based on the nutrition and serving information associated with that specific product.
