Easy Jalapeño Hot Sauce

    Set aside 1 jalapeño pepper. Remove the stems from the remaining jalapeños, cut them in half lengthwise, and take out the seeds.

    Put the seeded jalapeños into a large pot of boiling water and boil for about 15 minutes. Reserve about 2 tablespoons of the boiling water, then drain.

    Cut the stem off the remaining whole jalapeño and put all the jalapeños into a blender. Add the reserved 2 tablespoons of boiling water and the canola oil, then season with salt and black pepper.
