  1. 1

    Gather all ingredients.

  2. 2

Whisk together garlic cloves, olive oil, lemon juice, dried oregano, salt, red pepper, and black pepper in a small bowl until combined.

  3. 3

Place the lamb chops in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over them. Remove the air from the bag and seal it. Refrigerate the chops to marinate for at least 4 hours or up to 12 hours. Remove them from the refrigerator and let them stand for 30 minutes to warm slightly.

  4. 4

Preheat an outdoor grill to High (450 to 500 degrees F (230 to 260 degrees C)). Scrape the excess marinade from the lamb chops and discard the remaining marinade in the bag. Sprinkle the chops evenly with the salt and black pepper.

  5. 5

Place the lamb chops on oiled grates. Grill, covered, turning once or twice, until browned and a thermometer inserted into the thickest portion of a lamb chop registers 130 degrees F (54 degrees C) for medium-rare, about 4 minutes for rib chops and about 6 minutes for loin chops, or until they reach the desired degree of doneness. Carefully turn the lamb chops with tongs to sear the edges, if desired. Transfer the lamb chops to a platter and let them rest for 5 minutes.

  6. 6

While the lamb chops rest, whisk together the remaining oil, lemon juice, oregano, salt, and crushed red pepper, if desired, in a small bowl until combined.

  7. 7

Drizzle the olive oil mixture over the lamb chops and serve immediately with lemon wedges. Recipe developed by Marianne Williams

How easyChef Pro scores recipes and products

easyChef Pro analyzes up to 41 nutrients using data sourced from USDA and other verified food databases. Its scoring method uses the nutrients relevant to nutrition quality, calorie density, processing level, and your selected health goal. Recipes and food products get a health score from 0 to 100, calculated using consistent rules instead of being estimated by AI. The same nutrition data, serving size and health goal will produce the same result.

The calculation evaluates nutrients, calorie density, processing level, and how well the food supports your selected health goal. Protein, fiber, vitamins, minerals and other beneficial nutrients can strengthen the score. High amounts of sodium, saturated fat, added sugar and other nutrients may lower it.

Your health goal also matters. easyChef Pro evaluates recipes and products across six health areas and adjusts their importance for your selected goal. This means the same food may be a better fit for one health goal than another.

For recipes, changing an ingredient, quantity or serving size changes the nutrition and may change the score. Remix the recipe in easyChef Pro to calculate fresh nutrition and scores for the version you actually make. Product scores are based on the nutrition and serving information associated with that specific product.
