Fast Yorkshire Puddings

Fast Yorkshire Puddings bake up with puffed, custardy centers and shatteringly crisp, golden rims. The simple batter of eggs, milk, and flour meets hot butter for a rich, toasty flavor that pairs beautifully with roast dinners and plenty of gravy. Serve them fresh from the oven for Sunday lunch or any cozy weeknight meal.

  1. 1

Assemble all the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

  2. 2

Whisk the eggs and milk together in a medium bowl.

  3. 3

    Stir in the flour.

  4. 4

Portion the butter evenly into the cups of a 12-cup muffin tin, about 1/2 teaspoon per cup.

  5. 5

Set the muffin tin in the preheated oven until the butter has melted and is sizzling hot, 2 to 3 minutes. Take it out of the oven, then divide the batter evenly among the cups.

  6. 6

Put the tin back in the oven and bake for 5 minutes. Lower the temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and continue baking until puffed and golden, without opening the oven, about 25 minutes more. Serve right away.
