Roasted Pork Bánh Mì (Vietnamese Sandwich)
Roasted Pork Bánh Mì layers a warm, crackly French roll with tender roast pork, silky pâté, and a swipe of hoisin-sriracha mayo. Bright pickled daikon and carrot add tangy crunch, while cucumber, jalapeño, and cilantro bring freshness and heat. Ideal for a satisfying lunch or a quick, flavor-packed dinner.

- 1
Assemble all ingredients. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
- 2
Toss the radish and carrot with the seasoned rice vinegar in a bowl until evenly coated. Let stand until the vegetables are slightly limp, 15 to 20 minutes. Drain and set aside or refrigerate.
- 3
Stir together the mayonnaise, hoisin sauce, and sriracha in a small bowl. Split the French roll just enough to open it like a book. Pull out some bread from the top half to better fit the filling if desired. Generously spread the mayonnaise mixture on the inside surfaces of the roll.
- 4
Set the roll, cut-side up, on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven until warmed and crisp with lightly browned edges, about 7 minutes.
- 5
Fill the warm roll with the sliced pork, pâté, pickled radish and carrot, cucumber, jalapeño, and cilantro leaves. Cut in half to serve.
