Antipasti Garlic Bread
  1. 1

Preheat the oven broiler to 500 degrees F (260 degrees C), and position a rack 6 inches below the heat source. Line a baking sheet with foil. Arrange the bread slices on the prepared sheet.

  2. 2

Grate the peeled garlic cloves on a microplane to form a paste. Transfer the garlic paste to a bowl; sprinkle with salt. Add the softened butter and mix thoroughly. Spread 1 to 2 teaspoons of the garlic butter on each bread slice.

  3. 3

Broil the garlic bread under the preheated broiler until golden, 1 to 3 minutes.

  4. 4

Take the garlic bread out of the oven and let it cool slightly on a wire rack. Put the mozzarella and tomatoes in a bowl; toss gently, then divide evenly over the bread slices. Garnish with prosciutto and basil; serve.
