Bacon-Wrapped Green Bean Bundles

Bacon-Wrapped Green Bean Bundles pair tender-crisp green beans with smoky bacon, finished in a buttery Worcestershire–soy glaze that’s lightly sweet with brown sugar and a hint of garlic. The contrast of salty bacon and caramelized glaze makes each bundle rich and satisfying. Serve these as a festive dinner side or a party-friendly accompaniment to roasted meats.

Bacon-Wrapped Green Bean Bundles
  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

  2. 2

Place the bacon in a large, deep skillet and cook over medium-high heat until partially done. Drain, cut each slice in half, and set aside.

  3. 3

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Set the green beans on a rack or steamer basket over the boiling water, cover with a lid to keep the steam in, and steam for a few minutes until the green beans are done. Set the green beans aside. Reserve about 2 cups of the water and dissolve the bouillon cube in it.

  4. 4

Gather a bundle of green beans (4 or 5) and wrap them with a piece of bacon; secure with a toothpick if needed. Arrange the bundles in a shallow baking dish.

  5. 5

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the reserved stock, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, butter, brown sugar, and garlic powder, stirring until the sugar dissolves.

  6. 6

Pour the sauce over the bundles and bake in the preheated 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) oven for 20 minutes, or until the bacon is done.
