Healthier Jalapeño Poppers

Healthier Jalapeño Poppers pair a tangy Greek-yogurt and Neufchâtel filling with smoky Gouda, garlic, oregano, and Italian herbs, then get a crunchy whole-wheat panko finish in the air fryer. They’re lightly browned, gently spicy, and satisfyingly cheesy with a fresh herb aroma—perfect for game day snacks, party platters, or a lively appetizer before dinner.

  1. 1

For the filling, mix the cream cheese, gouda, yogurt, oregano, Italian seasoning, and garlic in a bowl until combined.

  2. 2

Transfer the filling to a piping bag fitted with a tip, or put it in a small zip-top plastic bag and snip off one corner. Pipe the filling into each pepper half. Place the panko in a small dish. Dip the peppers, filling side down, into the panko to coat. Lightly spray the panko with cooking spray.

  3. 3

Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Air-fry the peppers, panko sides up and working in batches as needed, until tender and lightly browned, about 8 minutes. If you like, garnish with additional fresh herbs.
