Lemon Garlic Chicken

Lemon Garlic Chicken brings bright citrus and savory garlic together over a buttery sear, yielding juicy chicken with a tangy, aromatic pan sauce. It tastes fresh and punchy, with a lightly crisp exterior and plenty of lemony drippings to spoon over each piece. Ideal for busy weeknights and easy to pair with rice, greens, or roasted vegetables.

Lemon Garlic Chicken
  1. 1

    Assemble all the ingredients.

  2. 2

Melt butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the chicken with salt and pepper; set it in the melted butter. Cook the chicken, flipping often, until browned, about 5 minutes.

  3. 3

Sprinkle 1 tablespoon garlic powder over the chicken; cook for 2 minutes. Flip and sprinkle the remaining 1 tablespoon garlic powder on the other side; cook for 2 minutes.

  4. 4

Pour lemon juice over both sides of the chicken and cook until it is no longer pink in the center, 5 to 10 minutes more. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should register at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
