One Pan Tipsy Chicken and Noodles

One Pan Tipsy Chicken and Noodles brings tender bites of chicken and linguine together in a glossy bourbon–soy sauce with hints of ginger, garlic, and a touch of heat. It’s rich, savory, and a little sweet, with green onions adding freshness at the end. Ideal for a weeknight skillet dinner that still feels special enough to share.

  1. 1

Season the chicken with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper and toss to coat well. Whisk the stock, bourbon, soy sauce, ketchup, and ginger together and set aside.

  2. 2

Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large deep skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned on all sides (the chicken will not be fully cooked yet). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

Add butter to the skillet and melt over medium-high heat. Add the white parts of the green onions and the garlic and cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute. Add the crushed red pepper and the pasta and stir to coat in the butter mixture. Pour in the reserved bourbon mixture and stir until well combined, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer, stirring often to prevent the noodles from sticking.

  4. 4

Add the chicken and any accumulated juices to the skillet. Stir and cook, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is done and the sauce has thickened, 10 to 12 minutes. Add more stock or water as needed to keep the mixture saucy until the pasta is cooked. Season with salt to taste. Stir in the green onions and serve right away.
