Baked French Toast with Peaches and Cream

    Thickly spread cream cheese on one side of each slice of bread. Arrange the bread in two cascading rows in the bottom of a baking dish.

    In a bowl, combine the eggs, milk, peach syrup, and vanilla extract; whisk until blended. Pour the mixture over the bread. Arrange the sliced peaches on top. Pour the melted butter over the peaches. Cover the baking dish and refrigerate for up to 8 hours.
