Preheat the oven to 430 degrees F (220 degrees C).

In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, sage, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.

Rinse the pork leg and pat it dry with a paper towel. Rub the seasoned olive oil all over the pork leg.

Slice the onion and separate it into rings. Put the onion rings and the garlic halves in the bottom of a roaster. Set the pork on top of the onion and garlic.
