Anne's Fantastic Foil-Grilled Salmon

Anne's Fantastic Foil-Grilled Salmon balances honeyed sweetness with bright lemon, fresh basil, and a hint of ginger for a glossy, aromatic finish. The fish grills up moist and flaky with subtle smokiness, while soy and Worcestershire add savory depth. Serve for a relaxed summer dinner or a special weeknight meal when you want clean, vibrant flavors.

Anne's Fantastic Foil-Grilled Salmon
  1. 1

    Gather the ingredients.

  2. 2

Double-layer aluminum foil to form a "pan" large enough for the salmon fillet; set it on a baking sheet. Place the fillet, skin-side down, in the foil "pan."

  3. 3

Whisk the basil, honey, lemon juice, oil, soy sauce, shallots, Worcestershire sauce, and ginger in a small bowl until blended; pour over the salmon fillet and marinate for about 20 minutes.

  4. 4

Meanwhile, preheat an outdoor grill to medium-low heat.

  5. 5

Slide the foil pan with the salmon fillet off the baking sheet onto the preheated grill. Grill, covered, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork but is not too dry, 10 minutes per inch of thickness, about 20 minutes.

  6. 6

Slice the fillet, using a spatula to lift the fillet off the skin. The skin will adhere to the foil and your grill will stay clean.
