    Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and lightly grease it.

    Peel the turnips and cut them into French fry-sized sticks, about 1/3 inch by 4 inches. Put them in a large bowl and toss with vegetable oil to coat.
