Spiced Gingerbread Tiramisu
Spiced Gingerbread Tiramisu marries the creamy richness of mascarpone with warm notes of cinnamon, ginger, allspice, and molasses for a holiday-inspired twist. Coffee-soaked ladyfingers keep the classic structure, while gingersnap crumbs add a whisper of crunch and aromatic spice. Serve this chilled dessert after dinner at festive gatherings or whenever you crave a cozy, wintry treat.

- 1
Gather all the ingredients.
- 2
Fill a large saucepan with a few inches of water and bring it to a boil over medium heat.
- 3
Set a bowl or double boiler insert over the saucepan, making sure it does not touch the water.
- 4
Add the egg yolks and sugar to the double boiler and whisk until smooth and the sugar dissolves, 4 to 5 minutes.
- 5
Remove from the heat and stir in the molasses, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, allspice, nutmeg, salt, and vanilla.
- 6
If using a double boiler insert, transfer the mixture to a bowl, cover it, and refrigerate until completely cool, about 25 minutes.
- 7
Beat the mascarpone cheese into the egg yolk mixture with an electric mixer on medium until smooth.
- 8
In a separate bowl, whip 2 cups of cream with clean beaters to stiff peaks, then fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture and set aside.
- 9
Dip one third (about 16) of the ladyfingers, one at a time, into the coffee and line the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish with them.
- 10
Cut the ladyfingers as needed to create an even layer, then spread 2 cups of the mascarpone mixture evenly over the ladyfingers.
- 11
Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and mascarpone mixture, then add the remaining ladyfingers on top to make three layers of ladyfingers total (you will not use all the coffee).
- 12
Spread 2 cups of the mascarpone filling over the ladyfingers, leaving about 1 1/2 cups of the mixture.
- 13
Whip the remaining 1/2 cup cream to stiff peaks and fold it into the remaining mascarpone mixture.
- 14
Spread this mixture over the top and chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- 15
Finely crush the gingersnaps in a plastic bag, then pass them through a fine-mesh sieve and sprinkle over the tiramisu.
