Grilled Cheese Sticks

Grilled Cheese Sticks deliver a golden, crunchy crust with gooey melted Cheddar and Jack inside, brightened by garlic, green onion, and a gentle whisper of cayenne. Parmesan on the outside adds a nutty, salty edge that crisps beautifully in the pan. Serve hot for lunch or as a snack with your favorite dipping sauce.

Grilled Cheese Sticks
  1. 1

Spread 1/2 teaspoon mayonnaise on one side of each bread slice. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese over the mayonnaise layer, pressing the cheese firmly into the bread.

  2. 2

Mix the remaining mayonnaise, Cheddar cheese, Jack cheese, green onion, garlic, and cayenne pepper in a bowl.

  3. 3

Flip one bread slice so the Parmesan side is down, and spread the Cheddar cheese mixture onto the bread. Place the other bread slice on top with the Parmesan on the outside of the sandwich. Cut the sandwich into 4 equal sticks.

  4. 4

Heat a nonstick pan over medium heat; reduce to medium-low. Add the sandwich sticks to the skillet and cook until golden brown and the cheese is softly melted, 2 to 3 minutes per side.
