Meringue Bones and Ghosts
  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 225 degrees F (110 degrees C). Line 2 baking sheets with silicone baking mats.

  2. 2

Whisk the eggs whites and lemon juice in a bowl until thick, white, and foamy. Add the sugar a spoonful at a time, whisking constantly, until the meringue is shiny, thick, and holds its shape.

  3. 3

Transfer the meringue to a piping bag. Pipe 12 bone shapes onto one prepared baking sheet. Pipe 12 puffs that look like ghosts onto the other prepared baking sheet.

  4. 4

Bake in the preheated oven until dried and firm, about 1 hour.

  5. 5

Turn off the oven, keep the door closed, and let them cool until completely dried, about 1 hour more.

  6. 6

Dip the tip of a toothpick into melted chocolate and dot chocolate eyes on each of the ghosts.
