Slow-Cooked Honey-Glazed Ham
Slow-Cooked Honey-Glazed Ham pairs a lacquered, brown sugar–honey crust with tender, juicy meat and a hint of Dijon and orange for balance. The glaze develops deep caramel notes while the ham bakes low and slow, making it an impressive choice for holiday dinners or a hearty breakfast spread with leftovers to savor.

In a saucepan over medium-low heat, combine brown sugar, honey, molasses, orange juice, and mustard, and cook until it thickens, about 45 minutes. Remove from heat. Allow the glaze to rest so the flavors meld, 8 hours to overnight.
- 2
Preheat the oven to 225 degrees F (110 degrees C). Set the ham in a roasting pan.
- 3
Bake in the preheated oven, checking occasionally, for about 10 hours. If the ham starts to darken at that time, cover it with aluminum foil. Continue baking for about 2 hours more.

Increase the oven temperature to 275 degrees F (135 degrees C). Bake, brushing the ham thoroughly with the glaze mixture every 30 minutes, for about 2 hours more. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 15 to 20 minutes before slicing. Serve any remaining glaze with the ham, if desired.
