Air-Fryer Ham and Swiss Melt

Air-Fryer Ham and Swiss Melt layers smoky deli ham with creamy Swiss, sharp Dijon, and crisp dill pickles for a toasty, golden finish. The air fryer creates an evenly crisp exterior while keeping the cheese gooey and the bread tender inside. Perfect for a quick lunch or a casual weeknight dinner when you want comfort with a tangy kick.

Air-Fryer Ham and Swiss Melt
  1. 1

Spread mayonnaise on one side of each bread slice. With the mayo side down, lightly spread Dijon mustard on 4 slices, then evenly top each with Swiss cheese, ham slices folded to fit, and pickle slices. Place the remaining 4 slices on top, mayo side up, and gently press the sandwiches closed.

  2. 2

Preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees F (193 degrees C). Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or line it with a parchment liner.

  3. 3

Arrange the sandwiches in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving some space around them. You may need to cook in batches, depending on the size of your fryer.

  4. 4

Cook until the sandwiches start to brown, 3 to 4 minutes. Flip, then cook until the cheese has melted and the sandwiches are golden brown, 2 to 3 minutes more. Slice the sandwiches in half and serve warm.
