Carne Asada Tacos

Put the sliced meat in a shallow bowl and season with salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper. Squeeze the lime juice over the meat and turn it until evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

In a blender or food processor, add the tomatillo and jalapeno. Puree for 15 to 20 seconds, or until thick. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Carefully pour in the tomatillo mixture. Cook, stirring often, for 5 minutes. Stir in the beef broth. Reduce the heat and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes, or until the mixture coats a spoon. Transfer the mixture to a serving dish.

Heat tablespoon oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add 1/3 of the beef and saute for 1 minute. Transfer to a serving dish. Repeat with the remaining beef. Meanwhile, warm the tortillas in the oven or microwave according to the package instructions.

To serve, stack two tortillas. Add the desired amount of meat and spoon some tomatillo mixture over the top. Add onions, tomatoes, avocado, and cilantro. Garnish with a lemon wedge to squeeze over the taco before eating.
