Dairy-Free Country Sausage Gravy
  1. 1

Crumble the sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook until it begins to brown, 3 to 5 minutes. Add the Worcestershire sauce and let it warm through, then add the beef bouillon and nutmeg. Stir and cook the sausage until no longer pink, 3 to 5 minutes more.

  2. 2

Lower the heat to medium-low and gradually sprinkle in the flour. Cook, stirring constantly, until the flour coats the sausage and is fully absorbed. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes more.

  3. 3

Slowly pour in the almond milk while stirring constantly until the gravy begins to thicken, up to 12 minutes. If it becomes too thick, add a little more almond milk. Season with pepper and salt, and continue stirring vigorously until the gravy reaches the desired thickness.

  4. 4

Take off the heat and let cool. Taste and adjust the seasoning as desired.
