Classic Sausage Gravy

    In a small frying pan, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium-high for about 30 seconds. Add Jimmy Dean sausage and cook for 8 to 10 minutes until browned, stirring often to break it into small pieces, then drain.

    Stir in the flour to coat the sausage. Lower the heat to medium and add 1 cup of milk, stirring to avoid flour lumps. Add the remaining milk along with the salt and pepper. Raise the heat to medium-high for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the sauce rises to the top of the pan (do not let it boil over).
