Our Backyard Grilled Garlic-Butter Shrimp

Shell-on shrimp soak up parsley and olive oil before hitting a hot grill, picking up a light char and smoky aroma. They’re then tossed in a nutty browned-butter and garlic sauce that coats each juicy bite. Our Backyard Grilled Garlic-Butter Shrimp is ideal for warm-evening dinners or a laid-back cookout centerpiece.

Our Backyard Grilled Garlic-Butter Shrimp
  1. 1

Put the parsley and olive oil in a resealable plastic bag. Add the shrimp, coat them with the marinade, press out extra air, and seal the bag. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. Soak the skewers in water during the last 30 minutes or so.

  2. 2

Preheat an outdoor grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate.

  3. 3

Take the shrimp out of the marinade and thread them onto skewers. Season generously with seasoned salt. Put the parsley and the remaining marinade in a grill-safe pan with the butter and garlic.

  4. 4

Grill the skewers until the shrimp are pink and firm, about 3 minutes per side. Meanwhile, set the grill pan on the grate and melt and simmer the butter-parsley mixture until the butter is just golden brown, 4 to 5 minutes.

  5. 5

Remove the shrimp from the skewers and add them to the butter-parsley mixture. Toss to coat. Serve right away.
