  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Arrange the meatballs on a baking tray.

  2. 2

Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven until a slight crust forms, about 15 minutes (they will not be fully cooked). Cover and set aside to keep warm.

  3. 3

Meanwhile, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add the spaghetti. Cook for about 10 minutes, or 1 minute less than the package directions for slightly firm pasta, then drain thoroughly.

  4. 4

In a large casserole dish, pour about 1/2 cup of the pasta sauce along the bottom and spread to coat. Add the spaghetti evenly over the sauce to cover the entire bottom of the dish.

  5. 5

Arrange the meatballs in rows over the spaghetti, about 3 in each row for a total of 6 rows. Cover the meatballs and spaghetti evenly with the remaining sauce. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup mozzarella; cover the dish with foil.

  6. 6

Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, then remove the foil. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese.

  7. 7

Return to the oven and bake until the cheese is melted, about 15 minutes more. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
