Bacon-Wrapped Bratwurst

Bacon-Wrapped Bratwurst

    Prick the bratwurst several times with a small fork and place them in a saucepan. Pour in the beer and bring it to a boil. Lower the heat to medium and simmer for 15 minutes. Take the bratwurst out of the beer and let them cool to room temperature.

    Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and set a wire rack on top.

    Combine the brown sugar and cayenne pepper in a large bowl and set aside.

    Slice each boiled bratwurst into thirds. Wrap each piece with 1/2 strip bacon and secure with a toothpick. Toss the bacon-wrapped bratwurst with the cayenne mixture to coat, then arrange them on the prepared baking sheet.
