Braised Beer Brisket

    Heat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

    Sprinkle the brisket with salt and set it in a baking dish. Lay onion slices over the entire roast.

    In a medium bowl, combine the beer, brown sugar, beef bouillon, pepper, garlic, bay leaf, and thyme. Pour this over the roast. Cover with aluminum foil.

    Bake in the preheated oven for 4 hours. The brisket should be tender enough to pierce with a fork.
