Sirloin Steak in Cola–Soy Marinade

Sirloin Steak in Cola–Soy Marinade balances gentle sweetness from cola with umami-rich soy, bright Dijon, and a whisper of heat from horseradish and black pepper. The meat turns tender and juicy with a caramelized crust when seared or grilled, making it a standout for weeknight dinners or casual weekend cookouts.

Sirloin Steak in Cola–Soy Marinade
  1. 1

Whisk cola, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, horseradish, garlic, and black pepper in a medium bowl until the marinade is well blended; pour it into a resealable plastic bag. Add steak and coat it with the marinade. Press out excess air, seal the bag, and marinate in the refrigerator for 24 hours.

  2. 2

Preheat the grill to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

  3. 3

Remove the steak from the bag and discard the marinade.

  4. 4

Grill the steak on the preheated grill to your preferred doneness, about 5 minutes per side. An instant-read thermometer inserted in the center should register 140 degrees F (60 degrees C) for medium doneness.
