    In a large skillet over medium heat, combine the ground beef and the onion; cook, stirring, until browned. Pour off any excess grease.

    Place the bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned. Drain and cut into pieces.

    In a large pot, combine the beef mixture, bacon, kidney beans, baked beans, tomatoes, brown sugar, barbeque rub, chili powder, hot sauce, and garlic powder. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring every 30 minutes, until it is bubbling. Remove the chili from the heat and let it cool.
