Warm olive oil in a deep skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and Italian seasoning; sauté until just fragrant, 30 to 60 seconds.

Add the orzo and stir to lightly toast it, about 30 seconds. Pour in the broth, add salt and pepper, and bring to a gentle boil.
