Crisp Shaved Brussels Sprouts with Bacon and Almonds
  1. 1

In a large, deep skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until browned and crisp, 5 to 10 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the bacon to a paper towel–lined plate; set aside.

  2. 2

Add the almonds and garlic to the drippings in the skillet; cook briefly over medium heat until toasted. Add the Brussels sprouts and quickly toss to coat with the drippings. Sprinkle the red wine vinegar over the sprouts and toss to coat. Cook, stirring frequently, until the sprouts are wilted. Off the heat, stir in the bacon; season with salt and black pepper.
