St. Louis–Style Grilled Pork Steaks

St. Louis–Style Grilled Pork Steaks feature juicy shoulder cuts kissed with a light seasoned rub and bright, tangy apple cider vinegar basting. The vinegar keeps the meat succulent while adding a subtle twang that pairs perfectly with smoky grill notes. Ideal for casual cookouts or weeknight dinners when you want big flavor with minimal fuss.

St. Louis–Style Grilled Pork Steaks
  1. 1

Preheat an outdoor grill to medium-low and lightly oil the grate.

  2. 2

Season both sides of the pork steaks with some of the seasoned salt and pepper. In a large bowl, combine the vinegar and water, then stir in the remaining salt and pepper.

  3. 3

Place the pork steaks on the preheated grill. Cook and baste both sides with the vinegar mixture during the first 15 minutes of grilling. Continue cooking the steaks to your preferred doneness for 10 to 15 more minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should register at least 145 degrees F (63 degrees C). Discard any remaining vinegar mixture.
