Oven-Roasted Tofu Cubes

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly coat a non-stick baking sheet with oil spray.

Cut the tofu into 1/2-inch slices, then gently press out the excess water from the tofu. Cut the slices into 1/2-inch cubes.

In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, maple syrup, ketchup, vinegar, and hot sauce. Stir in the sesame seeds, garlic powder, black pepper, and liquid smoke. Gently fold the tofu cubes into the sauce. Cover and marinate for at least 5 minutes.

Arrange the tofu on the baking sheet in a single layer. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Turn the tofu, then bake until it is golden brown, about 15 minutes more.
