    Place the bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning now and then, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain the bacon slices on paper towels.

    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Lightly spray a 9x9-inch casserole dish with cooking spray. Lay 2 slices of bread on the bottom of the dish. Butter the tops of the bread.
