Pressure Cooker Beef with Egg Noodles
  1. 1

Place the frozen egg noodles in the refrigerator to thaw for 8 hours to overnight.

  2. 2

Turn on a multi-function pressure cooker (such as an Instant Pot) and choose the Sauté setting.

  3. 3

While the pot heats, combine the flour, salt, granulated onion, granulated garlic, and seasoning blend in a resealable bag. Add the stew meat, seal the bag, and shake to coat the meat thoroughly.

  4. 4

When the pot is hot, add the oil and butter. Sear the beef in batches until browned, about 5 minutes per batch, transferring the seared beef to a plate.

  5. 5

Add the mushrooms and the onion to the pot; cook until slightly softened, about 3 to 5 minutes. Pour in the beef broth and bring it to a boil, scraping up the browned bits from the bottom of the pot with a wooden spoon. Stir in the egg noodles. In a small bowl, whisk the water with the dry onion and mushroom soup mix; pour it into the pot and stir to combine.

  6. 6

Cancel Sauté and select high pressure per the manufacturer's instructions; set the timer for 15 minutes. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for the pressure to build.

  7. 7

Release the pressure using the natural-release method according to the manufacturer's instructions for 15 minutes, then use quick release for any remaining pressure. Unlock and remove the lid. Serve immediately.
