    Set the trivet in the Instant Pot. Pour in broth, root beer, vinegar, and liquid smoke. Stand the ribs on the trivet on their sides, nesting one inside the other. Close and lock the lid, ensuring the vent is sealed. Choose manual high pressure and set the timer for 30 minutes. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for pressure to build.

    Let the pressure release naturally according to the manufacturer's instructions for 15 minutes. Carefully release any remaining pressure using the quick-release method per the manufacturer's instructions, about 5 minutes. Unlock and remove the lid.
