Beloved Turkey–Pork Meatloaf

Beloved Turkey–Pork Meatloaf brings a juicy, tender bite with a gentle sweetness from a honey–ketchup glaze and savory depth from sautéed vegetables. The mix of turkey and pork keeps it moist while spinach, peppers, and aromatics add color and balance. Serve it for a cozy weeknight dinner, and enjoy even better slices in sandwiches the next day.

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.

  2. 2

Let the ground turkey and ground pork sit at room temperature to warm slightly.

  3. 3

Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat; cook the carrot, bell pepper, onion, garlic, and spinach in the hot oil until soft; set aside to cool.

  4. 4

In a large bowl, mix the turkey, pork, bread crumbs, wheat germ, eggs, 2 tablespoons ketchup, salt, and pepper. Add the vegetable mixture and keep mixing until evenly combined; shape into a loaf; place on the prepared baking sheet.

  5. 5

Whisk the honey and 1 tablespoon ketchup in a small bowl; spread the mixture over the meatloaf.

  6. 6

Bake in the preheated oven until no longer pink in the center, 60 to 70 minutes; transfer to a serving platter and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
