“Tastee” Loose-Meat Sandwich
  1. 1

In a 1-cup measuring cup, combine ketchup, salt, mustard, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, and ground black pepper. If the mixture is less than 1 cup, add more ketchup to reach 1 cup. Stir until smooth. Put the ground beef in a stock pot; pour the ketchup mixture over the ground beef.

  2. 2

Fill the same measuring cup with warm water and stir to loosen any remaining fine seasoning; pour this into the stock pot. Stir the onion into the ground beef mixture; add monosodium glutamate. Mix until everything is well combined.

  3. 3

Cook and stir the ground beef mixture over low heat until the ground beef is finely crumbled, about 15 minutes.

  4. 4

Bring to a boil; cook until the flavors blend, about 25 minutes.
