  1. 1

Combine pear, onion, ginger, 1/2 cup soy sauce, and 2 garlic cloves in a blender or food processor and pulse until the marinade is smooth. Place the tri-tip in a resealable plastic bag with the marinade. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or up to overnight.

  2. 2

Slice the tri-tip thinly against the grain.

  3. 3

Add grapeseed oil to a skillet over medium-high heat. When the skillet is hot, sear the meat until nicely charred, about 1 minute per side. Remove the meat from the pan.

  4. 4

Add gochujang, rice vinegar, soy sauce, white sugar, minced garlic, minced ginger, and 1/2 cup water to the skillet. Stir until smooth and combined. Simmer the sauce for 3 minutes and return the meat to the pan; simmer the meat in the sauce until heated through, 1 to 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

  5. 5

Remove the bulgogi from the heat, drizzle with sesame oil, and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Heat the rice in the microwave for 90 seconds, or follow the package directions.

  6. 6

Plate the bulgogi with rice, kimchi, and steamed vegetables. Garnish with sliced scallions.

How easyChef Pro Scores This Recipe

easyChef Pro gives every recipe a health score from 0 to 100, built from more than 30 nutritional parameters including nutrient density, energy density and glycemic impact. It calculates rather than estimates, so the same recipe returns the same score every time.

The number is traceable. You can see exactly which nutrient moved it, so a dish scoring 78 might show fiber pushing it up while sodium pulls it down, alongside the NOVA processing level of each ingredient.

Your health goal changes the calculation itself, not just a filter. easyChef Pro applies clinically derived weighting across six health dimensions, which is why the same dish can score well for one goal and poorly for another.

Swap an ingredient or change the serving size and that math changes with it. Scoring your own version is the only way to see what your kitchen actually produces.
