Candied Salmon Dip
Candied Salmon Dip pairs hot-smoked salmon with a sweet-heat glaze over a tangy, herby cream cheese base. Expect smoky richness balanced by maple, brown sugar, sriracha, and vinegar, with pops of dill, capers, and lemon zest. Ideal for game day or any appetizer spread, it’s great warm and caramelized from the broiler or served chilled with crackers.

- 1
Break the salmon into chunks and add to a mixing bowl, removing any skin and checking for bones as you go. Reserve until needed.
- 2
Add the brown sugar, maple syrup, ketchup, rice vinegar, Sriracha, and cayenne to a small saucepan, and set over medium heat. As it begins to boil, stir with a spoon to combine. Boil on medium heat until the syrup thickens slightly, 1 to 2 minutes. Turn off the heat and reserve until needed.
- 3
Add the cream cheese, dill, capers, green onions, and lemon zest to a mixing bowl, and use a spatula to mix until evenly combined. Transfer to a small (1 quart) shallow casserole dish, and spread into an even layer.
- 4
Add the syrup to the bowl of smoked salmon, and use a spoon to mix until evenly combined, breaking the salmon into small pieces as you do. Spoon the salmon mixture on top of the cream cheese mixture, and use the tip of a spoon to distribute it evenly.
- 5
Place a piece of plastic wrap over the top, and very gently press down with your hands and fingers to flatten the surface. Remove the plastic, unless refrigerating for later use.
- 6
Set the broiler to High, and place the baking dish about 7 inches below the heating element. Broil until the top is browned and well caramelized, 3 or 4 minutes. Let cool to room temperature, about 20 minutes. Top with more green onions. Serve with crackers. The dip is also good served cold.

How easyChef Pro Scores This Recipe
easyChef Pro gives every recipe a health score from 0 to 100, built from more than 30 nutritional parameters including nutrient density, energy density and glycemic impact. It calculates rather than estimates, so the same recipe returns the same score every time.
The number is traceable. You can see exactly which nutrient moved it, so a dish scoring 78 might show fiber pushing it up while sodium pulls it down, alongside the NOVA processing level of each ingredient.
Your health goal changes the calculation itself, not just a filter. easyChef Pro applies clinically derived weighting across six health dimensions, which is why the same dish can score well for one goal and poorly for another.
Swap an ingredient or change the serving size and that math changes with it. Scoring your own version is the only way to see what your kitchen actually produces.
