Dan's Favorite Chicken Sandwich

Dan's Favorite Chicken Sandwich layers BBQ-brushed chicken with smoky bacon, Swiss cheese, and cool ranch on toasted hoagie rolls, finished under the broiler for a bubbly top. Juicy chicken benefits from bacon drippings as it bakes, while diced avocado adds freshness and richness. Ideal for a satisfying lunch or a quick weeknight dinner with bold, backyard-BBQ flavors.

Dan's Favorite Chicken Sandwich
  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Coat a baking dish with cooking spray. Brush barbeque sauce on both sides of each chicken breast and place them in the baking dish. Top each breast with 2 slices bacon.

  2. 2

Bake the chicken for 25 minutes in the preheated oven, until the juices run clear. Drain the bacon strips on paper towels, and slice the breasts in half lengthwise.

  3. 3

Turn on the oven broiler. Spread Ranch dressing on both halves of each hoagie roll. Place 2 breast halves on one half of each roll. Place 2 strips of bacon on the other half of each roll. Top each half with 1 slice Swiss cheese.

  4. 4

Place the sandwich halves on the baking sheet, and broil for 2 to 5 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Layer the chicken halves of the sandwiches with avocado slices, and top with the bacon halves to serve.
